Coded character set

  1、Digital data (numbers 0-9);

  2、Alphanumeric data (numbers 0-9; capital letters A-Z; 9 other characters: space, $,%, *, +, -,., /,:);

  3、8-bit byte data;

  4、Kanji characters;

  5、Chinese characters (Chinese characters and non Chinese characters corresponding to GB 2312).

Basic characteristics of QR code symbols

  Symbol specification 21 × 21 module (version 1) - 177 × 177 module (version 40) (each specification: add 4 modules on each side)

  Data type and capacity (refers to the maximum specification symbol version 40-L level)

   ● Digital data: 7089 characters

   ● Alphanumeric: 4296 characters

   ● 8-bit byte data: 2953 characters

   ● Data of Chinese characters and Japanese characters: 1817 characters

  Data representation method: dark module represents binary "1", light module represents binary "0".

Data capacity

  Number: up to 7089 bytes

  Letters: up to 4296 bytes

  Binary digit (8 bit): up to 2953 bytes

  Kanji / Katakana: up to 1817 bytes (using shift ﹣ JIS)

  Chinese characters: 984 bytes at most (UTF-8) 1800 characters at most (Big5)

Error correction capacity

 7% of L level codes can be modified
